Strengthening sports infrastructure
Avižieniai has undergone intensive development in recent years, with new residential neighbourhoods and businesses being established and an active community forming. However, until now, Avižieniai has lacked a modern sports club that offers a variety of training options to meet the diverse needs of residents.
Lina Volodzkienė, Urban HUB’s Head of Commerce and Development: We are proud that Urban HUB Vilnius can offer the Avižieniai community a wide range of sports services and that the first sports club in this district is opening in our premises. We strive to create an environment that is not only convenient for working or shopping, but also for spending time actively. Hence, the arrival of a sports club here is a natural and much-anticipated step, complementing the already abundant sports community at Urban HUB Vilnius.
Earlier, Mantas Badikonis, CEO of the Gym+ network, shared that the decision to set up sports club at Urban HUB Vilnius was influenced by its strategically convenient location near major transport routes, the rapidly growing population of the surrounding areas, and the already proven partnership in the business and retail hub in Kaunas.
A wide range of services in one place
The new Gym+ sports club will offer visitors modern training facilities: top-quality Technogym equipment, functional and free-weight areas, group training, personal trainer services, saunas and solariums. The club will be open 24 hours a day, allowing members to exercise at a convenient time – early in the morning, late in the evening or even during their lunch break – and refresh themselves with free filtered water.
The Gym+ sports club has been operating in Kaunas as part of the Urban HUB project since September 2025, and its expansion in Vilnius marks the network’s further growth and strengthens Urban HUB’s position in a multifunctional business and retail space.
Both business and retail hubs developed by the SBA Urban team are in strategic locations near the country’s main roads – in Kaunas, near the A1 and A6, and in Vilnius, near the A2. For a long time, the supply of high-quality, larger spaces was limited both in the vicinity of the Kaunas Free Economic Zone (FEZ) and in the direction of Avižieniai in Vilnius, so Urban HUB projects have become an attractive solution for different business sectors.
