An expression of Vilnius’s future
The facade of the Artery business centre is distinguished by the fact that the glass will have no visible aluminium structural elements. The tasteful reflective coating used on the exterior creates maximum architectural integrity, which, according to the architect, was one of the key objectives of the building.
„This building is an expression of the future of Vilnius – the design creates a link between the city’s historic architecture and its place as a unique European capital. The design will create a vibrant mixed-use complex that will enliven and accelerate the development of the surrounding area,“ says Mr Libeskind.
The building will have a facade of a total of 18,000 square metres, covering the entire perimeter of the 20-storey building. The design and fabrication of this facade have been contributed by a highly experienced design team that has also worked on famous projects such as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
More and more tenants are interested
According to Marius Žemaitis, fund manager at Lords LB Asset Management, the investment management company that is developing the Artery project and developing premium office space in all the Baltic States, companies looking for office space that can represent them are particularly interested in such exceptional architecture.
„The office is increasingly perceived as part of a company’s image, reflecting its business aspirations and ambitions. They are looking for something to be proud of. So, the country’s outstanding architecture, Daniel Libeskind’s vision, and the ideal location in the heart of Vilnius’ central business district make the Artery complex particularly attractive. It should come as no surprise that the leasing process has been very successful,“ he says.
Strong focus on sustainability
Žemaitis emphasises that the choice to operate in this exceptional building is also driven by a focus on sustainability. The building will meet the A+ energy efficiency class and will be awarded the global BREEAM „Excellent New Construction“ sustainability certificate. Each of the 20 floors will be equipped with innovative heating, ventilation, humidification, and air conditioning systems. The underground part of the complex, which will include an underground crossing of Konstitucijos Ave. and will connect Europe Square, which is adjacent to Vilnius City Hall, to the White Bridge, will provide not only bicycle storage but also one of the capital’s largest complexes of charging points for electric cars and electric scooters.
„All these details make the Artery business centre unique in Vilnius and let it attract companies that have established their reputation in the international arena, one of which is the international Lithuanian-founded company kevin., which offers payment solutions for business. The employees of the latter will be located on the upper floors of the complex. All tenants will enjoy not only bright offices but also a 360-degree view of the city, which, we hope, will help the best ideas be born,“ says the representative of Lords LB Asset Management.
