Arūnas Martinkevičius, President of the SBA Group, chairs the SBA Group’s board. Its members are Jolanta Grašienė, Egidijus Valentinavičius and independent board member Saulius Adam Vaina. The boards of SBA Urban and SBA Home will have the same composition.
„We have a competitive advantage in business when we can respond quickly to changes. A unified board structure will shorten the decision-making chain. Teams in strategic business units will have greater scope to respond promptly to market changes and make decisions quickly. On the board, we focus on long-term strategy, major investments and business development,“ says Arūnas Martinkevičius.
According to him, a more horizontal management structure is particularly important in the sectors of SBA’s strategic businesses – property development and mass furniture production – where decisions involve significant investments, a dynamic market situation and long-term projects.
Following the changes to the management structure, Mr Arūnas Martinkevičius will also become Chairman of the Board of SBA Home, taking over from Egidijus Valentinavičius, who will remain a member of the board. Mr Arūnas Martinkevičius will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of SBA Urban.
Until now, in addition to Arūnas Martinkevičius and Jolanta Grašienė, the SBA Urban Board also included Vytautas Vaškys, Director of Business Risk. Following the revision of the governance model, he will no longer serve on the company’s Board but will continue in his role as Director of Business Risk at SBA Group.
The harmonisation of board membership is part of SBA Group’s efforts to improve business management efficiency whilst maintaining a focus on long-term strategy and swift decision-making.
