In September, 9.6 per cent of respondents spontaneously named Nausėda as the most trustworthy public figure (12.4 per cent in June), whilst 8.2 per cent named Žemaitaitis (9 per cent in June).
In third place was outgoing President Dalia Grybauskaitė, who was mentioned by 5.5 per cent of respondents (5.7 per cent in June). Next came MPs Ingrida Šimonytė – 5.3 per cent (6.1 per cent in June), Ignas Vėgėlė – 4.3 per cent (4.9 per cent in June) and Laurynas Kasčiūnas – 4.1 per cent (3.5 per cent in June).
The same proportion of respondents – 4.1 per cent – also mentioned the social activist Tapinas (7.6 per cent in June). Former President Valdas Adamkus was named by 3.7 per cent of respondents (5.2 per cent in June), MP Vytautas Sinica by 3.4 per cent (1.8 per cent in June), and MP Valius Ąžuolas by 3.2 per cent (5.7 per cent in June).
Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius remained in eleventh place – 2.8 per cent of respondents mentioned him (5.5 per cent in June).
Among the 24 public figures mentioned by at least 1 per cent of those surveyed, Minister of the Interior Martynas Katelynas made the list for the first time, with 1.8 per cent of respondents naming him. Former Minister of Social Security and Labour Jūratė Zailskienė was mentioned by less than 1 per cent of those surveyed.
30 per cent of respondents said they did not trust any public figures most, or did not answer the question (24 per cent in June).
During the survey, respondents were asked to name the public figures they trust the most. Respondents mentioned 104 public figures in September (110 in June).
The survey took place between 23 September and 5 October 2026. During the survey, 1,025 Lithuanian residents (aged 18 and over) were interviewed in person at 110 sampling points. The respondents' composition matches that of the Lithuanian population in terms of gender, age, ethnicity, and type of settlement.
