Rumunė S. Halep tapo „French Open“ turnyro nugalėtoja

Paryžiuje vykstančio atvirojo Prancūzijos teniso čempionato („French Open“) moterų vienetų varžybų finale šeštadienį pirmoji pasaulio raketė 26-erių metų rumunė Simona Halep 3:6, 6:4, 6:1 įveikė 25-erių metų amerikietę Sloane Stephens (10-oji pasaulio raketė).

S. Halep „French Open“ turnyro finale žaidė trečią kartą. 2014 ir 2017 metais ji pralaimėjo lemiamus mačus. Praėjusių metų atvirojo JAV čempionato („US Open“) nugalėtoja S. Stephens „French Open“ finale žaidė pirmą kartą. 

Turnyro prizų fondą sudaro beveik 39,2 mln. eurų.
